Congratulations to Dr. Chiara Venegoni, first author of the article “Urine-stable aptamer-conjugated gold nanorods for the early detection of high grade bladder cancer”, which was voted as the best article at the 1st joint retreat of the Divisions of Experimental Oncology and Cellular Biology of the San Raffaele Hospital.
The article was published in April 2025 by the journal Advanced Healthcare Material, and represents the joint work of three research groups led by Dr. Laura Cerchia (CNR of Naples), Prof. Mauro Comes Franchini (University of Bologna) and Dr. Massimo Alfano (San Raffaele Hospital).
The joint efforts of these groups demonstrate how a multidisciplinary approach can give rise to innovative products for the development of high-impact solutions for the treatment of bladder cancer.
