The Urological Research Institute was honored to receive significant funding this year from Fondazione AIRC for a 5-year study on kidney cancer. The study, entitled "Targeted decision making In Renal Cell Carcinoma relying on a Radiogenomics Translational platform" (Project Leader Dr. Umberto Capitanio) was selected as part of the IG ("Investigator Grant") funding, which is among the most prestigious to obtain in the field of scientific research.
The aim of the study is to effectively characterize kidney cancer at the time of diagnosis, using a combined approach of experimental radiology and with the aid of biomarkers.
